We are a small but active club serving our community, helping people who are visually or hearing impaired lead a better life. The Savannah Port City Lions Club had its beginnings on July 15, 1953 when it was sponsored by the Savannah Lions Club. The Savannah Port City Lions have since sponsored 2 new clubs. Its membership is presently 28 including 3 Past District Governors. We are a active club in the community of Savannah, in District 18-B, and in Multiple District 18.
Visitors to this web site are invited to
explore and discover what Lionism is all about. Visitors who are not
members of Lions Clubs are invited to learn more about community service and
maybe become interested in becoming a Lion.
The Savannah Port City Lions meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at
7:00 p.m. (Except June and December, 1st Tuesday only.) The first Tuesday
meeting we discuss the business of Lionism. We discuss and plan activities
to raise funds for our charities and also to raise public awareness of what
Lionism is and how we help our community. The meeting on the 3rd
Tuesday of each month is devoted to guest speakers of our community who speak
on various topics.
We meet at Sticky Fingers which is located at 7921 Abercorn Street in
Savannah. Restaurant telephone is (912) 925-7427. Visitors are
always welcome.
