Lions State Convention May 26-28, 2017

Lions of Georgia and special guests,
We hope you have heard by now, but we have one of the most exciting events of the year still to come.  It's our State Convention!
We in MD 18 are so fortunate.  We will have the best collection of Lions dignitaries at any meeting outside of an LCI board meeting or international convention.  We will have our International President, Bob Corlew.  We will have our own Past IP Jim Ervin.  And we will have our own likely to be elected International 3rd VP Haynes Townsend.  In addition to that, we will have at least two additional special guest speakers for our opening ceremonies and our Centennial Celebration.  And that Centennial Celebration will be a special event to recognize our organization's 100 years of service.  You will love it!
I have attached the latest registration form to this email for your convenience.  Also note that you can both register for your hotel room online, and pay for the full event with your credit card online.  Either way, please still fill out your registration form and send it to David White per the instructions on the form.  If you want to register for individual events, you can either still send David White a check with your registration form, or call me to handle a custom credit card payment.  The links for each are:

Our convention schedule is going to be full of fun and exciting things.  The venue will help keep us together and provide for a lot of fellowship.  Remember to read your Lions Magazine in preparation for some of our entertainment.  And our hospitality rooms each evening will be top notch!  So plan to attend.
Finally, I'd like to give you an exciting preview of our venue for our opening ceremonies Friday evening:
Located at Delta’s Atlanta headquarters — just seconds from world’s busiest airport — the newly renovated Delta Flight Museum offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Features include:

At the Museum, guests can:

The state-of-the-art Delta Flight Museum explores the history of Delta and the future of flight with an array of interactive exhibits and rare aviation items.
Check out a restored 1940 Douglas DC-3 passenger plane and the Waco 125 biplane, the only aircraft of its kind remaining. Engage kids (and kids at heart) with a scavenger hunt exploring various exhibits, a Boeing 767 pre-flight pilot checklist, and more.
