Lions Activities

Broom and Mop Sales - These high quality brooms and mops are manufactured by visually impaired persons for sale through the Lions Clubs to the community. We conduct neighborhood sales where we go door to door in select neighborhoods and we also conduct sales at area businesses at various times of the year. Write or send us a Email for more information about upcoming sales.

Wishing Wells - Prominently located in various community businesses, the wishing well publicizes the club and raises funds for the club's charities.

Coloring Books Sales - Our giant sized coloring books are a special treat for children during the Christmas and Easter holidays.

Sight Conservation Days - Information about Lions activities is made available to the public at various locations though out the city. Direct donations are accepted.

Other Activities

Used Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids - Collection boxes are located at area businesses to collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids. They are sent to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse where they are tested, cleaned and if possible, reused here in Georgia or in other countries.

Health Care Fairs
- Sight, Hearing and other medical screenings are made available to the community at little or no cost.

Pictured above is our club pin. This pin, designed by Carolyn Rogers, depicts the Savannah Waving Girl overlooking the Savannah River with the Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge in the background. On the left is a Live Oak tree with an Owl representing the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind. The dog next to the waving girl represents Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Lighthouse on the right is the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.
